Vascular Surgery Stepdown Unit is a unit that provides care to
patients who suffer from disorders of occlusive, aneurysmal,
inflammatory disease, trauma and neurovascular compressive
syndromes involving the arteries and veins of the body As an RN on
this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering
exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In
this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and
visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and
supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland
Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development
resources, including furthering education and online/in-person
courses to enhance your skills. A caregiver in this position works
7:00am—7:30pm or 7:00pm—7:30am. A caregiver who excels in this role
will: Provide direct nursing care. Implement and monitor patient
care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and
coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Minimum qualifications for
the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited
School of Professional Nursing Current state licensure as a
Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
through the American Heart Association (AHA) Two years of recent
related nursing experience for external applicants OR less than two
years of experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary
period considered with the Chief Nursing Officer approval for
internal applicants OR military RN experience Critical Care Course
or validated OJT for critical care settings Neonatal Resuscitation
Program (NRP), Provider Status Certification through American Heart
Association (AHA) within one year of hire for NICU ONS Chemo/Bio
course within two years of hire in units where chemo is
administered Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
through the American Heart Association (AHA) in ED and Pediatrics
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse
Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon or within 24 months of
hire in dedicated Trauma Centers Preferred qualifications for the

Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling
and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand
coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of
time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium Work -
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25
pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10
pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand
requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Personal
Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal
protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $41.00
Maximum hourly: $41.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting
reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful
candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking
factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history,
experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does
not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift
differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the
