Job Description Job Description Patient Access Manager Location: Valley City & Lisbon, ND (Critical Access Hospitals) Travel: Split time 50/50 between two sites (approx. 45 miles apart) Team Size: 15 Direct Reports Employment Type: Full-Time - DIRECT HIRE. About the Role We’re looking for a Patient Access Manager to lead registration and financial clearance operations across two critical access hospitals. This is a leadership role where you’ll ensure smooth patient access processes, drive operational excellence, and mentor a dedicated team. What You’ll Do Oversee registration processes , including pre-service and point-of-service financial clearance activities. Manage operational metrics to meet Service Level Agreements and budgetary goals. Lead staffing activities: hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Develop and implement action plans for process improvements and long-term strategies. Foster staff engagement and mentor supervisors to support growth and retention. Communicate proactively with leadership and provide solutions for operational challenges. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and revenue cycle standards. What We’re Looking For Experience: 3–5 years of healthcare supervisory experience (physician practice experience accepted if managing direct reports). Knowledge: Relationship between admitting, clinical, financial, and clearance activities. Revenue Cycle Management and regulatory guidelines. Skills: Strong leadership and organizational abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive operational metrics. Education: High School Diploma required; college degree preferred. Nice to Have Familiarity with healthcare information systems. Experience in budget/cost management and strategic planning. Why Join Us?
