Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Service Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting ability. In this role, you will service, diagnose, and repair standby generators — primarily in residential settings (80%), along with some commercial (10%) and industrial (10%) work. If you enjoy solving problems, working independently, and providing exceptional service, we want to talk to you. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair generator systems and components (electrical & mechanical) Perform routine maintenance and inspections on standby power equipment Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals Respond to service calls and troubleshoot on-site issues Document work performed and maintain accurate service records Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally Participate in on-call rotation (1 week per month for 24/7 emergency support) Qualifications 2 years of hands-on service experience (mechanical/electrical preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot independently Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics Familiarity working with electrical and mechanical systems Must have your own basic hand tools (annual $200 tool allowance provided) Valid driver's license and clean driving record Generator service experience a plus, but not required — willing to train the right person What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $25–$40/hr based on experience Annual performance bonuses Company truck provided for field work Steady, full-time work with a long-standing and reputable company Monday–Friday schedule predictable on-call rotation $200 yearly tool allowance Opportunity to grow your skill set and career in a stable industry
