Field Service Equipment Technician Located in beautiful Mentor, OH with 50% travel to customer sites $20 - $30/hour based on experience Day shift hours, typically working Monday – Friday from 8am - 5pm This is a Direct Hire opportunity As the Equipment Technician you will provide maintenance and repairs on various types of ground support equipment in the aircraft industry. Key Responsibilities Service varying types of ground service equipment which include but not limited to: aircraft jacks, hydraulic and ground power units, towing equipment/vehicles, engine hoists and slings, etc. Equipment calibration. Perform proof load testing on aircraft jacks and other lifting equipment. Repair and rebuild hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot issues or problems with equipment and determine repairs needed. Verify proper equipment operation in accordance with OEM manuals and testing procedures. Calibrate varying gauges (pressure gauges, temperature gauges, flow meters, etc.) Document all work performed and complete service reports. Communicate with customers and answer questions on services performed. Travelling to customer facilities. Mostly local travel, but will include some non-local travel and overnight stays. Skills/Qualifications Previous experience as a mechanic of aircraft, diesel equipment, or heavy construction equipment. Ability to use hand and power tools. Must be mechanically inclined and detail oriented. Ability to reach and comprehend procedures in OEM and service manuals. Skilled with using computers and learning new software. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must have a valid Driver License with clean driving record and be able to drive a company truck. Able to lift up to 75 lbs. Independently.
