Job Description:
Description: Qualified candidate is expected to analyze product
failures for root causes, proposes corrective actions, prepares
failure and analysis reports, and maintains reliability control
database on product success/failure history. Plan, develop, and
manage Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) programs
for Army ground vehicle system components or end item. Analyze data
to determine the appropriate statistical sampling and appropriate
test hours to ensure high levels of confidence in meeting
reliability requirements. Direct experience in all Product
Assurance & Test competency areas, program management, mechanical
engineering, and or electrical engineering. Duties will include
assisting a government task lead in the following tasks: Gather and
review reliability data throughout the life cycle of the component
or end item. Analyze historical DoD systems to evaluate the
technical feasibility of User's RAM requirements for new systems.
Coordinate with User community to agree upon RAM requirements and
translate these RAM requirements into performance specification
language for developing acquisition contracts. Assist in developing
RAM language for request for proposals (RFPs), reliability models,
Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA)/Failure Modes
Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) documents. Support Army
Prognostic and Predictive Maintenance (PPMx) capabilities and
Condition-Based Maintenance Plus (CBM ) efforts. Support
development of milestone documents and evaluate field data as part
of the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System
(FRACAS) process to make fielded system improvements. Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 8
years related reliability engineering experience. Requirements:
Must be a US citizen, the applicant selected will be subject to a
government security investigation and must meet eligibility
requirements to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC). Must be able to
obtain/maintain a secret security clearance. Travel: Travel up to
10% to test sites in support of related meetings and test event
