Job Title: Sr. Operations ManagerLocation: ClevelandJob Type: Full-Time / PermanentSalary: $60,000 -$75,000 /yrBenefits: PTO, Medical Insurance, 401(k), Performance BonusSchedule: Alternate days 8:00 AM-5:00 PM and 11:00 AM-8:00 PM. Work on weekends when required.Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our last-mile delivery service averaging 45 non-CDL light trucks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for vehicles and personnel management, ensuring safety compliance, optimizing operational efficiency, and improving our safety score with partners, insurance companies and relevant authorities.Key Responsibilities:Driver Management:

  • Lead the operation team with professionalism and integrity in coordination with the Business Plan targets.
  • Train and supervise drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive and compliant work environment.
  • Address driver concerns or issues promptly, ensuring effective resolutions and maintaining high morale.
  • Maintain fluent communication and follow up with other departments in a timely manner.Safety Compliance:
    • Maintain an incident free safety culture at the operation.
    • Oversee and manage the safety policies and procedures in compliance with customer s policies and local regulations.
    • Perform regular safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate training and corrective actions.
    • Coordinate with Human Resources for necessary record keeping and with relevant stakeholders to maintain and enhance the company s safety score.Fleet Management:
      • Manage maintenance schedules and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure peak operational performance.
      • Ensure compliance and maintenance standards are met.
        • Perform regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.Operations Optimization:
          • Effectively manage resources to achieve operational excellence and meet or exceed all customer key performance metrics and objectives.
          • Monitor and analyze operational data to identify improvement areas and implement efficiency strategies.
          • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance productivity.Customer Service:
            • Serve as the primary contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and addressing concerns swiftly to maintain satisfaction and retention.
            • Develop strong relationships with clients, promoting trust and continued business.Budget Management:
              • Identify and implement cost-saving strategies to enhance financial performance.
              • Prepare and maintain records of all inventories.Job Elements and Requirements:
                • Lift up to 49 pounds, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Stand/walk for up to 12 hours.
                • Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud.
                • Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions, at times outdoors.Qualifications:
                  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred; not required.
                  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in operations management.
                  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and inspiring a diverse team.
                  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
                  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused orientation.
                  • Ability to connect and build rapport and professional relationships with associates.
                  • Ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills with follow-up and follow-through. Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility for running the operation with a sense of urgency.
                  • Ability to manage through a problem and think and make decisions independently.
                  • Regular, predictable, accessible, full attendance and timely reporting is an essential function of the job.
                  • Computer proficient and working knowledge of Microsoft products.
